The 44th episode of Bob Dylan's

"Theme Time Radio Hour",

was about 'Texas'.

The spoken dialogue during "The Carter Family And Jimmie Rodgers In Texas",
recorded on 12 June 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky, served as a blueprint for
Bob Dylan's rewritten version of "GONNA CHANGE MY WAY OF THINKING",
recorded in 4 March 2002 for the covers compilation "Gotta Serve Somebody -
The Gospel Songs Of Bob Dylan", which was finally released in spring 2003.

The spoken dialogue between Bob Dylan and Mavis Staples is very similar to
its Rodgers/Carter predecessor, with California and Hawaii replacing Texas
and Mexico and with much the same 'fried chicken' sequence.
Bob Dylan's "remake" of the dialogue can be read here.
